From Ceremony to Celebration
Heirloom Wedding Gown Redesigned for Rehearsal Dinner & Shower Events
Tatum's Dress, 2025
Originally worn by the client’s mother on her wedding day, this gown was thoughtfully reimagined for a new generation of celebration. Designed to feel fun, flirty, and wearable for both a bridal shower and rehearsal dinner, the redesign honors the original garment while giving it a fresh silhouette.
The full skirt was transformed into a short A-line shape, allowing the lace to be rearranged and highlighted in a more playful way. The bodice was fully reconstructed and reinforced to create a clean strapless form, while the original sleeves were repurposed into removable half sleeves for versatility. As a final detail, the dress’s original collar was preserved and redesigned as an ornamental feature at the back — a subtle nod to the gown’s history.
The result is a piece that carries memory forward while making space for new moments.
